Best Big Bajan BBQ
One of the most popular events of the festival, the Best Big Bajan BBQ its third year of mixing fabulous BBQ done Caribbean-Barbados style, with a party done the Bajan Way.
Hosted at the historic Hilton Old Fort, this is the best barbecue ever in Barbados.
Before your eyes, teams of chefs will create mouth watering BBQ cuisine that will showcase the best that Barbados has to offer. Feast on the flavors from six buffet stations featuring fish, chicken, pork, beef, lamb and vegetarian (take your pick or try the all!), then dance the night away on the starlight dance floor.
Sunset High Tea Party
Spend a relaxing afternoon in a beautiful historic Bajan setting as you are go back to the very British tradition of afternoon tea.

18th Century Feast
Travel back in time to the 18th century and experience the pomp and pageantry of a Caribbean plantation feast as the music and cuisine of the period come alive.
Built on the edge of an escarpment overlooking Carlisle Bay, the George Washington House, formerly known as the Bush Hill House, was built as a family plantation by William Cogan in 1719.
This two story Georgian House accommodated the young George Washington, future “First Father” of the United States, and his ailing brother Lawrence Washington for two months in 1751.
Gourmet Taste at Holders
The IT event of the festival, in its third year of success, Gourmet Taste is a fabulous evening of sampling cuisine from the menus of some of the island’s most celebrated chefs and restaurants.
An exciting collision of food and music, as you mingle and savor the appetizers, entrees and desserts created by some of the best chefs in the Caribbean, paired with the exquisite flavors of specially selected spirits, beers and wines.
Hosted in the magical setting of the world renowned Holders House, this jewel in the crown of the festival is not to be missed.
Los Cobos Festival

This is the fourth year for the Festival of Rhythm, Color & Flavor of Los Cabos. This week long fiesta will showcase the culinary expertise of Los Cabos chefs and utilize the destination´s dramatic landscape and Cobo´s cultural history.

The Festival will start Saturday, December 1, with a star-lit and lively event hosted by The Restaurant Association (CANIRAC) held at El Tule Beach featuring a lavish buffet of signature dishes from area restaurants accompanied by a selection of wines from the Baja region.
The week will continue to showcase the destination´s innovative cuisine with chefs at renowned resorts and restaurants from throughout the destination preparing special Festival menus of exotic dishes as well as traditional Baja cuisine. On December 7 amidst the colonial setting of the Plaza Mijares Square in downtown San Jose del Cabo, The Public Relations Association of Los Cabos will host a fair featuring live music and traditional and innovative Mexican fare from some of the most prestigious local eateries.
The festival will come to a close on December 8, with a Dinner in the Desert
as the San Carlos Canyon is transformed by the Hotel Association into an elegant
lounge setting offering fireside dining on fresh seafood, gourmet trimmings, delectable drinks and live entertainment.
All proceeds from the Festival of Rhythm, Color & Flavor of Los Cabos will go to local organizations that work to insure the comfort and safety of visitors and residents of Los Cabos including the San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas Fire Departments as well as the Mexican Red Cross.

The cost to attend the festival varies depending on the event: A table of ten at El Tule beach event is $100 USD, the San Carlos Canyon event is $60 per person, and the cost of Plaza Mijares event is yet to be determined. New to this year´s festival will be special package offerings and air-inclusive offers. Please inquire with your travel agent or hotel, when booking.
Maui Marathon

There’s plenty to do for the whole weekend.
Don’t miss the Carbo Luau at The Westin. This is usually a sold out event with plenty of good food and entertainment. I understand this year there maybe be 2 Luaus this year. Culture Fest in New Orleans

Amelia Island Jazz Festival

This quiet seacoast village on picturesque Amelia Island in northeast Florida will be swingin’ to the beat of Dixieland, bebop, big band, Latin and contemporary jazz….
During the week-long festival from October 7-14th, great jazz will be performed by groups ranging from large bands to trios, featuring such acknowledged masters as saxophonist Frank Tiberi, trombonist Bill Allred, trumpeter/vocalist Bob Pickwood, tenor saxophonist Billy Ross, and Les DeMerle.
It looks like most of the big events will be during the weekend, Friday the October 12th and Saturday the 13th.
Both days will start out at 5:30 featuring cuisines of the finest area restaurants at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in the Courtyard.

North American Optimist Championship 2007.
